i am a self-trained photographer that shoots simply.  i aim at finding beautiful vulnerable simplicity in my subject matter and specialize in/have a love for portraiture/beauty, nature, editorial, and art/physique photography.

i work well with a large variety of personalities and find i have a wonderful knack for bringing out some of the best in my subjects (most of this i owe to my years as a theatrical director and instructor in nyc...my former home of 14 years).  and, while i've learned most of what i know about shooting through an interesting mix of trial and error over the years, i find that i've managed to learn a lot through those years about myself and about creating some beautiful and memorable images.

i'm hoping my journey and new home in the pacific northwest will provide me a continued learning experience to further hone my work and my love of this art.
