About Cee:

Charlay Jones is a Licensed Cosmetologist as of April 2007, and a graduate of the first Historically Black University, Lincoln University. As of May 1st, 2011, Charlay obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business Management with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship.

After many corporate conferences, administrative positions, and soul searching, Charlay realized that the beauty industry was her true calling and passion. Charlay is currently a privately contracted freelance stylist and fulltime hair stylist at The Shop Salon in Bethesda, MD (www.theshopsalon.com). She has worked for LA based Black Velvet Hair Co. as an affiliate and Artistic Director, and In the Eye of the Beholder EL as the Lead Hair Stylist (www.beholderel.com). Some of her most recent clients through In the Eye of the Beholder EL, LLC included Despina Ades (Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2013) and the 2013-2015 Miss District of Columbia USA and Miss District of Columbia Teen USA pageant contestants. Several of the contestants styled by Charlay have been semi finalists and first runner ups. Charlay has been honored to participate in representing Bumble and Bumble at Sephora in Chevy Chase, MD and in Bloomingdales, the 2011 Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week assisting renowned hair artist Nedjetti Harvey at the Leonid Gurevich S/S 2012 “Triumvirate of Seduction” collection exhibit, and assisted backstage as a dresser at the S/S 2012 Betsey Johnson show.

In July 2015, Charlay will be pursuing her Hair Practitioner Certification and beginning the journey towards becoming a Certified Trichologist (trained in the science of scalp and hair health). Her true passion is not only to make hair look and feel beautiful, but to help women grow long, strong, and healthy hair- which starts at the scalp. Between time, she will continue to advance her education, and to promote female empowerment, love of God, self, and one another, and social responsibility. Charlay understands that through the ups and downs of life, progress means nothing if you don’t reach back to give a helping hand to those who can’t help themselves. Hopefully, through the “Queens Uplift Queens” movement, she will inspire a new generation of leaders who not only “show boat” their creative talents and energies but use them to make the world around them a better place.

I'm selective with the TFP shoots, since I already have creative directors that I work with for those. I'm located in the Montgomery County area but can travel throughout the Washington Metro area (Montgomery, PG counties and DC), and further if the price/opportunity is right.

I love creating looks for runway, print, and edgy creative freestyles. Models & Photographers: I HAVE A TEAM, so when you book with me we can all work together to complete your total look (your input included of course!). Hair, Makeup, wardrobe styling, photographers, and theme collaboration- strictly professional but we keep it fun.
