Greetings MMers! I'm Charlie Howse, Retired in 2006 after 35 years in tech support in higher ed, in Miami and Treasure Coast. I'm based  in Vero Beach area, and travel to various destinations several times a year.

DETAILS:
I've been into photography for most of my adult life but did little creative work during several decades of a computer and technology related career. I'm out of the daily rat race now and am devoting more time to photography.  I'm working to awaken and reignite the artistic and creative parts of the brain. One of my goals by being a member of MM is to enjoy shooting, become more creative, and continue to create images that I like and others appreciate.

Over the years as a tech specialist and as a photographer, I have assisted others to become more proficient with the tools at their disposal, and when I was the leader of a large  local Meetup group which moved to FB, I continued to assist others to learn and grow. I now want to expand my ability to facilitate the learning and teaching opportunities for photographers and related artists. I have also recently returned to more basic forms of photography - Shooting film with old school cameras that use single sheets of film instead of a roll of film.I most often shoot B/W film but sometimes will shoot color.

$ I'm retired, I don't sell photographs and have limited funds for photography, so almost never pay a model for a session. I will sometimes pay for a workshop with models if I believe I will be learning something I need/want to learn. I do occasionally shoot TF if a model is seeking to expand his/her portfolio, but seldom will I seek out models for my portfolio. I enjoy photography, but I'm not expecting to make any $ this way.
