Born in the Welsh Valleys in 1961, I guess my initial passion for photography came from my grandfather, a keen photographic enthusiast, and the many hours I spent as a child watching and helping him develop his own photographs in his home made darkroom.

This was at the annoyance of all the other family members as I remember because the darkroom was also the family loo ! ............many a crossed leg on those days I can tell you !!!

His favourite camera to use back then was a 1955, German made, Balda Baldix f/2.9 and I'm still amazed at the quality of the shots he created when looking through the old family albums !

Well, even though I now have that camera, that's still in perfect condition and working order,
I tend to favour the 21st century digital cameras (as you'd expect !) and currently use a Canon EOS 7D and a Canon 400D as my back-up. Coupled with my array of Professional Canon lenses, they answer all my photographic needs without question.

Fully trained with a Diploma in Professional Photography from the Photography Institute, 
I cover quite a diverse range in the photography field as a freelance photographer.

My personal passion is landscape and seascape photography, especially shooting those early sunrises on a cold winters morning at the coast - now that tests your love for the art at times !

My other main focus in photography is in the field of portraiture but with the difference of actually taking the studio to my clients which has proven to be a great success !

And finally, the hilarious at times, pet photography ! The characters you meet, animals and owners to be honest, can be the highlight of the week ! Probably the most challenging field too when 'Rover' or 'Rex' won't sit still and then you really do have to rely on your 21st century camera being able to shoot 8 shots per second to capture the action......!!! Ha !

One aspect I do try to deliver is with respect to affordable quality. While ensuring the photographs are as technically perfect as possible, I try to set the fees to fit every pocket.
