About Me

Hi there! I'm Laurel Black. I'm a beauty photographer based out of Nashville, TN. I fell in love with photography (and Photoshop!) over 20 years ago and was fortunate enough back then to have great friends who were happy to model for me as I honed in my photography skills.

Today, that original creative spark has grown into my life-long passion. I've tried out all types of photography over the years but I always come back to shooting people. For a time, I did creative portraits for musicians, entrepreneurs, actors, etc. Then a couple years ago, I switched my focus to fashion and beauty photography, which is where I discovered my true passion lies.

As you can see from my work, my speciality is beauty photography and high-end retouching. I strive to capture timeless images that portray a sense of simplicity, sophistication, and femininity.
