What is Expositus?

It translates from Latin meaning: "out in the open/exposed".

How does that relate to photography? It's about capturing something that goes deeper than the clothes, makeup, or beauty of the subject. It's about exposing their essence. A moment in time that the spotlight was pointing in your direction. Or, in this case, a studio strobe. ;D

My name is Justan and I have always sought to extend the boundaries of my artistic abilities. Being creative has always been my passion, and photography is one of those art forms I plan to be driven by more than just a well composed shot.
My "Dismantle Me" series combines photography with traditional and digital mediums. It is a way of destroying and rebuilding the subject into another likeness and turning them into something more epic.

My goal?

I'm looking to work with like minded individuals who are driven and motivated. I desire to create and inspire while exploring the various styles of my subjects. I'm a photographer with a personality and I enjoy working with people who have that same quality. By no means am I like other drill instructor photographers. My sessions are lively, fun and collaborative so don't be surprised if you have a blast!

I roll equipped with a 40D fully automatic assault Canon with a grip mounted flamethrower and a 24-70mmL shotgun for close encounters. Bring on the totally photogenic zombie apocalypse all while rocking an entire Alien Bees Strobe setup.

I do the occasional TF* but only if you can bring something awesome to the table.
