ABOUT ME
I am a photographer, currently residing in Greenville, SC. My primary passion is wedding coverage and portraiture, but I also enjoy working with new/aspiring models to start portfolios. I’m also working in video production, as a videography team lead for a local company. I’m 34, married, and I appreciate life.

MY WORK
My commercial portfolio is currently a blend of test sessions, candid portraits, and fun projects. I am a semi-pro wedding and portrait photographer, so my work revolves around concepts and compositions that are beneficial to creating a polished editorial look with my wedding work.

MISSION
Photography is not my main profession (yet), but I am moving towards the day that I will make a living as a full-time photographer. I have rates, and they are fairly priced for my experience level. Don’t be afraid to suggest a shoot if you have a concept, and just need a team to make it happen. Since I have other income, I am open to trade work, but I would prefer work that stands to increase either my experiences, techniques, or just a really kick ass concept.

I try not to be selective with who I work with, but lines must be drawn on occasion. I’m open to shooting almost anything…almost. I like to think that the work I create makes someone feel awesome, and one day, evoke emotive responses.

WHAT I WILL NOT SHOOT
Pfft…so long as my hands work, I’ll shoot most anything. I do think that I draw the line at shock value male nudes, though. I’m progressive, but I can’t really sell a portfolio full of penis photos, especially not to brides or female models.

MODELS
I enjoy working with new faces, as you really get to build the relationships that make for good images, but it never hurts to know yourself pretty well. Once we start down the path towards shooting, I ask newer models to practice “relaxing.” Nothing can prevent that stiffness at the start of a shoot except experience. If you have a bit of an idea of how you look in photos, the angles of your face, fatty corners, and all that, then we can hit the ground running in less time.

I WILL PAY MODELS that have working experience beyond promo and lingerie, so please do not message me with rates. I will consider paying models that will help get my photos in front of industry eyes, or have a few years experience. I’m not a snob, nor do I undervalue your time, but there is a point at which you benefit more than me.

My main rule is: If I contact you, you can give me rates. If you contact me, expect to get my rates.

MAKEUP | HAIR | STYLING
I have an in-house MUA, and a part-time stylist when schedules align, so I don’t mind setting that up for you. Because of the use of products, or pulling of clothes, there may be a charge for MUAH/stylist fees associated with the shoot. It doesn’t happen often, but why not be prepared, right?

ESCORTS
To be honest, I have mixed feelings about escorts. Some are cool to be around, and I’ll always be up for making friends, but others can be a hindrance to the vibe, and that helps no one involved. I try to meet with every model I shoot, male or female, prior to the shoot. If you would like to bring an escort, run it by me first. I can understand if you’re traveling and bring a road buddy, but if we don’t give each other the creeps when we meet, then just have faith. I won’t surprise you if you don’t surprise me. If we are shooting somewhere less than 100% safe, we can figure out guard duty.

FLAKES
I take shooting seriously. I’m an understanding guy, so I understand that things come up, but I’m not a fan of no-shows. Working together requires communication, so if I know what’s up, then I keep good vibes about you. Nicer than most, I tolerate 2 no-shows before I write you off from further projects. Everything past that gets a rate quote, a contract, and a lessened selection of images, based on the contractual agreement.

Last thing: HAVE FAITH, HAVE FUN. I won’t make you look bad if you don’t give me duckface, weird angles, or broken doll in every frame. I practice and practice and practice, and I want to get usable images for everyone involved.

STILL WANT TO SHOOT? Give me a holler. I check MM regularly, but Facebook and email are fastest.
