:::...Gypsy with a blowtorch...:::
Humanity is the rich effluvium, it is the waste and the manure and the soil, and from it grows the tree of the arts. - Ezra Pound "That which is not slightly distorted lacks sensible appeal from which it follows that irregularity - that is to say, the unexpected, surprise and astonishment, are an essential part and characteristic of beauty." - Charles Baudelaire Recent transplant to Atlanta from Australia - I make pit stops in RDU, DC, Ohio & NYC periodically as well. Blurb - Abridged short-attention span version: I take square pictures. (and sometimes rectangles). With film. For me. Because I like to. It takes time. Most things worth doing do. Blurb - Lengthier version: My weapon of choice is film, medium format gear & wet chemistry. The images displayed here were all shot in-camera with an emphasis on exploring traditional darkroom techniques & keeping the amount of digital post-production to a minimum. Photography is something I do because its something I love and I am always on the lookout for inspired, creative and expressive people to work with on various narrative/editorial/portrait oriented projects. If you think along the same lines, then we'd probably work well together. My work is generally described as "Portrait" or "Editorial" (although I do enjoy shooting Fashion/Beauty, at the moment art projects take precedence to commercial work). My interests are both highly focused, technically and all over the place, conceptually. This is a random sampling of my photographs - feel free to give me a reason to make a series out of any of them. ![]() ...on hiatus unless inspiration strikes. *Note: If you have contacted me regarding shooting, etc and I have given you my e-mail address, please send all further correspondence there instead of replying via a note through MM. ::::::Film isn't a virtue, just an intoxicating habit::::::: Credit Notes
