My Background
I am trained and experienced in still photography, videography, motion pictures, and advertising design.  I worked in the Eastman Kodak Photo Illustrations Division, Marketing Education Center, and the Motion Picture and AudioVisual Markets Division. I was a photographer for UPI. I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America. I have over 50 years of photographic experience; with over 25 years' experience as a wedding photographer. (I give my models fantastic discounts on their wedding's coverage.) I teach photography courses and have written a variety of articles on photography and currently I am writing another book on photography. I have been selected to be part of the elite Model Society's Photographers' Council.

I am an image consultant specializing in public relations and advertising.  I have experience that includes industrial, travel, photojournalism, glamour, portfolio/actor head shots, and fashion photography. Past clients relevant to Model Mayhem include talent & modeling agencies, theater and dance groups, and pageants.  I have done commercial product illustrations and fashion advertising.  I have been a motion picture and television producer/director with my work seen on national television. I am "semi-retired," meaning I now shoot more for my satisfaction than a need for money, but still do select paying jobs.

I enjoy shooting images to help promising professionals get started so I will discuss a near no pay shoot if I think the model has potential to progress. I enjoy helping models and actors move toward success.  I am at a point in life where I can almost give away my talent to help young people who appear to have talent and are just starting out.  I am paying it forward. 

On all shoots I require a pre-shoot meeting to discuss the shoot. I encourage the subject to bring someone with them to meetings and the shoot.

Personal Projects
I shoot images for my own creative projects.  I am working on another set of images for a new display and a new book of images.  Toward that end, I am interested in working with couples, dancers, yoga practitioners, actors & models, and people with "character" looks.  As you will notice from the images on this site I really enjoy working with dancers. On these personal projects I will offer high quality images in exchange for modelling, and I usually pay very well. I have always given my models very discounted wedding coverage as a thank you for helping me with my creative projects.
