David Robert Bliwas is a retired NYC artist/photographer whose portrait photography and fine-art b&w, hand-colored and digitally imaged street scenes of New York and Paris are in private collections worldwide. David's career embraces a wide and eclectic range of experience . . . from stand-up comedy in the early 70's . . . where he was mentored by Flip Wilson . . . and performed along with Danny Aiello, David Brenner, Bette Midler, Robert Klein, and Rodney Dangerfield at the beginnings of their careers . . . to playing trumpet with Dizzy Gillespie . . . working with delinquents and runaways from the Bronx to Greenwich Village . . . adopting two teens and accepting several foster children as a single parent in his early twenties  . . .  becoming a portrait photographer in the New York City Korean and Chinese communities . . . and curating galleries in New York City and Pittsburgh and Paris . . .

To be quite frank . . . I'm not on this site to build a career or to meet sexy people or make new friends . . . Of course that would be fine and I'd love that too . . . but I'm kinda beyond all that . . . I really just have a passion to shoot new and interesting faces  . . . I'm semi-retired and several years ago closed my galleries and studios . . .  For the first time in my professional life . . .  without my own space . . .  my creative needs just aren't being met. . . I've had a long and successful career as a photographer . . . my portrait and fine-art work is in collections worldwide . . . and my story has appeared in countless articles and publications  . . .    If you're in the NYC area  . . . and think you have a good look and some style  please be in contact . . .
