Holding the camera in my hand for the first time I knew the photograph I was about to take would capture a place in time, tell a story, and create a memory. In this case, a personal memory.

I was twelve years old and my first photo was of my childhood cat – Buffy. She had the heart of an angel, a minx's wicked sense of humor, and a spirit I will never forget.

As a photographer I don'’t just see an image -- I see the story that it tells. This is a skill I have been perfecting since becoming a professional storyteller in 1987. Right out of college, and not knowing what to do with my training as an actor at Carnegie- Mellon University, I stumbled across storytelling quite by accident; I realized right away I had been telling stories either as a photographer, fiction writer, or actor all my life.

The art of storytelling is what separates me from other photographers. Together we will craft your story in an unrushed timeframe until we capture the story exactly the way you want it told.
