The ankh symbol seems itself to be a wry, satirical comment on the temporariness and fragility of life, emphasised sublimely in your perilous position and the wild forces of nature crowding in upon you. However, the primary mood is one of daring and exultation in your experiences. The black border, along with the black and white processing and strong gothic aesthetic, puts me in mind of classic silent films, which suits the expressionistic landscape of the shot.
