August 13, 2008 11:35pm Of the hundreds (thousands?) of B&W photos w selective color this is maybe the 10 that I have seen that completely transcends the cliche'. Funny, but I was shooting photos of my 3.5 y/o boy with a variety of flowers in his mouth this weekend past.
July 15, 2008 6:24pm Done to perfection. The spot of color in the black and white image thing has become a cliché big-time, but you manage to escape that here. The beautiful oval of her face, dramatic eyes, freckles and presence make this about so much more than the effect. The tones are luminous and subtle.
