This is one of many original characters, and this piece is about one year old. She is an Italian woman who has speed-related powers, but is extremely different from other speedsters like the Flash or Quicksilver in that her powers and weaknesses adhere more to the laws of physics. Among those various powers, she cannot contain herself in a solid matter form when she approaches the speed of light, so she splits apart into different after-images which are made of light and can pass through walls. Each one of these after-images is an individual facet of her personality and pass through or circumnavigate obstacles with their own unique sense of flair, which, in essence, fulfills both the particle and wave properties of light in more ways than one. She also has bike reflectors on her shoulders and, for various personal and story-based reasons, is a professional soccer (futbol) athlete who plays for Italy but after games abroad returns home to her husband Westchester, NY by simply running across the Atlantic (awwwww..... ). She is a character introduced later in the continuity of another one I designed.
The name Vortex is subject to change, given copyright issues, however the subtitle of "the cerulean speedster" is something I adore and wish to stay.
This particular character has been redrawn and recolored in higher detail but I have no up-to-date scans to upload.
