October 26, 2013 5:05pm Have to agree with Carl here. Someone's run this image through a bog-standard portrait "enhancement" program and plasticized everything in sight. A much better approach would've been a careful, thoughtful and selective edit in Photoshop or another full-featured image manipulation/post-processing program.
If you've still got the original (or better yet, the RAW file), you might want to try re-processing and re-uploading this shot...
On the positive side, your hair is a glorious thing, and you've played it up here well.
