That suggestion is in turn--and at once--affirmed and contradicted by the cross and vampiric tooth symbols on the model's face. The model's envelopment in red also serves, in a way, to present a simultaneous "good v. evil" aspect, with the wrap evoking a virginal quality, and the red evoking a sort of indirect air of harm or malevolence.
