August 29, 2014 11:03pm This one stopped me in my browsing for local models and made me take notice. I'm new here, so please forgive me if I geek out a little. It all comes together in this shot! It's strange and beautiful seeing such a natural flow come from a composition that appears to be so grid-like at a glance. There's an amazing harmony here that immediately travels from graph paper (tic tac toe, hashtag, pound, whatever) to an Escher-like quality where straight lines bend and worlds collide. The model is in line with the grid overall, but at odds with it at her every angle. While her natural curves have been interrupted by the pose, the implied curves swoop in from every direction and lead the eye along. The lighting effects, making her a prism, make me read this left to right as we've been taught, but move me back to center over and over, only to see her off center and still dominating the shot. Even the plant on the right and its reflection make a "greater than" sign that helps this along. Again, it all comes together in this shot. Bravo! Thanks for sharing.
