Lyrical, lovely and intelligent. The photography showcases the woman's gorgeous bone structure which seems to merge with the composition lines of the mask. The full weight of anthropological understanding relating to the headdress' function in human history is not only managed but effectively appropriated in the service of questioning 21st century motives. High art. Seamless and flawless execution of a brilliant vision which asks, precisely, "What are we doing here?"
