October 11, 2020 3:49pm I keep coming back to look at this one. Mise en scene, wardrobe, and even the mustache works for me. But the toning of the monochrome...reminds me of comparing the contrast range of the Kodak paper we more regularly used and the Ilford that, as I recall, was saved for special projects. Of course, the controlled, even lighting goes a long way to create some of the mood I sense here. "Captivating" is probably the right word for this.
