I am her cousin by marriage. I noticed that you have shot with her alot. If you do not mind I would like to critique you a little. I am not trying to tell you how to be photographer, I just want to help. Your outdoors photography is awesome and it seems that you have got alot of experience with that. When it comes to your studio work, I see not so much experience. I can tell you a few things about studio lighting, but if would help if I knew what you were using. With an image like this one, I would have shot it between F8 to F11 at 125 shutter speed, ISO 200. My strobe would have had a medium soft box about 4 feet in front of her just belown the camera and I would have had it pointed sraight across her so that the light feathers. Then I would have used 2 kicker lights as fill and hairlights with probably an amber gel on them to add depth and color. I would have had one skimming her hair and the other behind her pointing at her legs. Here's just a small exemple. I am just trying to say that your lighting is too flat, try using smaller light sources.
