December 16, 2008 10:36am A splendid shot sirrah! Ah yes, I recall that day in Whitby when a hot air balloon flew across the bay whilst the occupants of the basket that dangled beneath nailed cogs to the sky. A most diverting wheeze, I thought.

December 10, 2008 3:07pm Magnificent. :) Something almost Dickensian about this collision between Victorian scientific and industrial enterprise (I love the dockyard backdrop ... including creative additions) and the prettier, gothier, melodramatic Victoriana we know and love.
