From the film school, I am a curator of beautiful imagery. I am a purest who believes in capturing photographs in the camera and I rarely manipulate images in post-production. Esoteric camera technology is often employed, including spectra shifts (for example, infrared and ultraviolet) and hand-made equipment. I enjoy reverse technology, such as wet plate colloidal, Polaroid (including recovered negatives), expired film, and film that I have made myself. I shoot a variety of formats using 35 mm (Canon and Leica), medium-format (Hasselblad), large-format (Sinar P3 4x5", 5x7", and 8x10") equipment, and ultra large format (up to 20x24"). My color work is sometimes digital, but these days 90% of my photographs are B&W. I am an aficionado of light, and I am highly skilled at manipulating it.

I removed the studio’s presence social media (Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter) some time ago because I found it to be a distraction. However, I use http://studio1409.com to post examples of my work. I have become introverted, focused on my art, and interested in working with models who are equally committed to their craft.
