Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, JaQuette E. Jones was raised by her mother and grandmother whom showed her the values of family, love and determination. Inspired by the women in her life, JaQuette always showed a love for the arts, music and fashion. At the young age of 8, she begged her mom to help her cut slashes into a pair of jeans so that she could emulate an outfit from a "€œSalt n€™ Pepa" video she saw on TV and from that point on, she was always on the brink of fashion trends.

Throughout the years, she was highly involved in school, church and local community activities that allowed her to showcase her talents either through fashion shows, choral concerts and art competitions. As she recalls, €œ"I remember sitting on my front porch as a young girl and looking out over the hills and dreaming of the world outside of Pittsburgh and how I planned to make a name for myself in it"€. All it took was one middle school trip to New York City and JaQuette knew that all her dreams would come true in a city like this. She was amazed by all the lights, the people and fashion forward clothing. By the age of 15, JaQuette knew she wanted to work in the fashion and retail industry just like her mother and was determined to make it happen no matter how hard the journey would be. For the next couple of years, all she did was eat, breathe and live fashion by learning the ins and outs of the industry through mentors, jobs and school.

Embraced with the addiction to fashion and its' ever growing trends, Ms. Jones saw fit to create a company that helped people keep up with current trends and to perfect their images and the j.jones studio was born in 2003.

Fashion Styling, Image Consultations and Personal Color Analysis are the services that the j.jones studio offers. Her impeccable eye for detail and color has helped her create fashion editorials for companies such as Belle-Noir.com, Mirror Mirror Magazine, Skorch.com and BeautyPlusPower.com. She has also had the opportunity to work with notable companies such as RocaWear, Macys, Steve Madden and Victoria's Secret. JaQuette earned her Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising in 2004 from Howard University and has also studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is a member of Delta Sigma Pi International Business Fraternity, New York Cares Volunteer Organization and the National Council of Negro Women.
There is more to be seen and heard from JaQuette and the j.jones studio. She credits her mother as her "#1 Fashionista" & greatest inspiration to pursue a career in fashion€. She is an avid traveler and self proclaimed "€œThrift, Vintage & Bargain Shopping Queen"€.  She currently resides in the NY/NJ Tri-State area and would like to thank God, her family, dearest friends and colleagues for their continued prayers and support.
