UNLV FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS 2014
FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

Join this hands-on educational and fun class with professional photographer and publisher, Adam Martinez. This course is intended to help you begin the process of creating dynamic and successful imagery in the field of Fashion Photography. Topics include: cameras, filters, lenses, film choices, fashion agencies, interviews, self-promotions, release issues, photography, location photo shoot, print work, posing models, working runway shoots, photojournalism, and developing a photography portfolio. In addition, you will participate in several class projects consisting of learning about your camera as well as in-class and on-location photography sessions. You are required to bring your own camera and film or digital SLR camers to class each week along with any samples of your current work. This class is for the beginner or advanced student.

This course is an elective in the Fashion Design Certificate Program and will award 2.4 CEUs to those students who pass the required exam at the end of the course.

Some basic experience in photography is helpful, but not required. Students are required to bring their own 35mm camera and film or digital SLR camera to each class. Students should bring samples of their current work (if any) along wth samples of fashion photography that they admire to the first class. Fee includes CEUs, most materials and manual.
