Hi, I'm Kate,

I started working within the cosmetics industry 7 years ago where I worked as a make-up consultant for Chanel.  After finding I had a natural flair for make-up application I went on to spend 3 years training as a professional make-up artist. 

The qualifications I have achieved are in theatrical and media make-up, cosmetic make-up and manicure and beauty therapy.  I have now been working as a freelance make-up artist for the last 3 years.

I work with a number of renowned photographers in the North East on makeover shoots, model portfolios and weddings as well as freelance prom and party make-up and theatrical productions.

I work with good quality cosmetics by MAC (I try to attend regular MAC master classes), Nars, Laura Mercier, Shu Uemura and Benefit and I also work with a range of natural skin care products.   

For me, I get great joy from making someone feel good about themselves, to be able to transform someone on a makeover or on the most special day of their life is rewarding.  One of my main strengths is being a good people person and I like to think that I can make my clients at ease, confidant and enjoy their make-up experience - especially when their nerves are setting in on their wedding day.
